More Than Gaming: What Makes the EGL Approach Different

Written by Divya | Oct 20, 2026, 12:00:02 PM

Kids don't need adults to convince them that gaming is interesting.

They're already interested.

For educators, the more powerful question is:

What can we do with that engagement?

At EliteGamingLIVE, our answer has shaped the way we've built our entire organization.

We believe something students already love can become a pathway to learning, skill development, career exploration, competition, relationships, and a brighter future.

Three principles are at the center of that approach.

1. We Build for Educators

Our mission is to help educators prepare kids for a bright future by turning something kids already love into something they can become.

That distinction matters.

We're not simply building gaming experiences and asking schools to find a way to use them.

We're thinking about the educator from the beginning.

Is the program manageable? Is training available? Does the educator have support? Is implementation clear? Can the experience fit into the organization's existing schedule?

A great student program can't come at the expense of the person responsible for running it.

Our job is to set both up for success.

2. We Intentionally Connect Gaming and Learning

Gaming and education don't need to exist in separate worlds.

Students shouldn't necessarily have to choose between having fun and doing something valuable for their future.

Our programs are designed to bring those experiences together.

Students can play and compete while earning rewards, developing skills, exploring careers, and learning.

Gaming becomes the engagement engine.

Learning becomes part of the experience.

For some students, that can also create an introduction to careers they may never have considered before—including opportunities in technology, coding, gaming, AI, and related fields.

3. We Make Implementation Easier

A great idea isn't particularly valuable to a school if it's too difficult to implement.

That's why we've built EGL as a one-stop shop.

Most organizations can be ready to launch within approximately 30 days.

Depending on what a partner needs, we can provide the technology, program structure, training, ongoing support, curriculum, equipment, and even personnel in certain situations.

Instead of forcing educators to coordinate multiple vendors and figure out how all the pieces connect, our goal is to simplify the process.

Student Engagement Is Only Half the Equation

It's easy to focus on the student side of esports.

Students love gaming. They want to participate. That creates an incredible starting point.

But a sustainable school program also needs an educator who feels confident operating it.

That's why we think so much about the adult experience.

Can they get answers when they need them?

Do they understand how to use the platform?

Do they know what happens next?

Do they feel supported?

Those details may not be the most exciting part of esports, but they're often what determines whether a program thrives.

Turn Something Kids Love Into Something Bigger

Gaming is the starting point for EGL, not the finish line.

The bigger opportunity is using that enthusiasm to create experiences that matter.

Competition. Learning. Skills. Careers. Rewards. Friendships. School connection.

That's what we believe school esports can become.

Our job is to make that experience exciting for students—and make delivering it as easy as possible for educators.
